Back End Developer @ People Tech

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java or Python
Work extensively with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Cassandra
Leverage AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Quicksight, etc.) to build and scale applications
Build robust backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability
Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
Optimize database queries and backend services for high throughput
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and QA
Create technical documentation and maintain coding standards
Provide production support and troubleshooting of deployed services

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  46 years of hands-on development experience with Java or Python
  Strong understanding and practical experience with NoSQL databases
  Proficiency in AWS Cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and Quicksight
  Experience in building scalable, high-performance APIs
  Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
  Solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git, Jenkins, or similar
  Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  Ability to work in Agile development environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certifications (Developer Associate or similar)
  Experience working with AWS Quicksight for data visualization and dashboards
  Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform)
  Exposure to full-stack development is a plus
  Experience with message brokers like Kafka, SQS, or SNS
