Qa Engineer @ Bounteous x Accolite

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.
  
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
  
• Develop test plans, test cases, and test data based on requirements and technical specifications.
  
• Execute manual and automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
  
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers in Agile/Scrum teams.
  
• Perform database validations using complex SQL queries.
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of QA automation frameworks.
  
• Ensure regression coverage and continuous integration of automated tests.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 8 years of experience in QA Automation using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  
• Hands-on experience in RESTful API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI).
  
• Strong knowledge of SQL for backend validation and data integrity checks.
  
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile testing methodologies.
  
• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
  
• Familiarity with build tools like Maven/Gradle and CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
  
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with BDD tools (Cucumber/Gherkin).
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
  
• Exposure to cloud-based testing environments or containerized apps (Docker, Kubernetes).
  

Preferred candidate profile

8+ yrs experience candidates who have both manual and automation testing experience.
