Mobile QA Engineer @ Coforge

Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer with hands-on experience in automation testing of mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of exploratory testing, Appium, and Espresso, and will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile apps across Android and iOS platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover hidden bugs and usability issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium (for cross-platform) and Espresso (for Android).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Execute regression, smoke, and sanity tests during release cycles.
• Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mobile application testing.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing techniques and exploratory testing.
• Proficiency in Appium for cross-platform mobile automation.
• Experience on Espresso .
• Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Understanding of mobile app development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred :

• Experience with iOS automation tools like XCUITest.
• Knowledge of performance testing and mobile device cloud platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
