Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer or GitHub Enterprise Architect to lead the end-to-end setup of GitHub Enterprise , including secure CI/CD pipelines, manager approvals, Docker-based automation, and deployment to a GoDaddy VPS environment . The ideal candidate should have strong experience in DevOps workflows , GitHub Actions , branch protection rules , workflow security , and production-ready CI/CD pipelines. Experience with GoDaddy VPS , domain setup, and web hosting is a must.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Configure GitHub Enterprise repositories, organizations, branch protection, and team access controls.
- Build secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated deployment to GoDaddy VPS .
- Implement approval workflows (manager approval before production deployment).
- Manage containerized deployments using Docker and Docker Compose .
- Automate build, test, and deploy pipelines with rollback strategies.
- Set up self-hosted or cloud runners securely for GitHub Actions.
- Configure GoDaddy VPS hosting with Apache/Nginx, SSL, domain, and firewall setup.
- Document the entire GitHub-to-VPS deployment flow and access controls.
- Monitor and maintain deployment infrastructure, error tracking, and logs.
- Ensure secure handling of secrets, tokens, and deployment credentials.
- 5+ years in DevOps / Release Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise , GitHub Actions , and CI/CD workflows .
- Proficient in Docker , containerization, and deployment automation.
- Experience in GoDaddy VPS setup and windows-based hosting.
- Familiarity with manager approval workflows using GitHub Environments or custom actions.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash , YAML , or Python .
- Good understanding of firewall, SSL, Nginx/Apache , and server hardening.
- Strong knowledge of branching strategies , merge approvals , and GitHub security policies .
- Experience integrating Slack , Teams , or email notifications into GitHub workflows.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Experience with Codespaces or cloud-based dev environments.
- Familiarity with Terraform , Ansible , or other IaC tools.
- Can independently own and manage GitHub-to-server deployments.
- Are passionate about automation, security, and scalable DevOps.
- Enjoy documenting and enforcing structured workflows across environments.
