Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Automation (CIA) & DevOps Engineer specializing in AWS, with over 8 years of hands-on experience. This role is responsible for architecting, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available environments. The ideal candidate will drive DevOps best practices, lead automation initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust AWS-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for production and development environments.
- Design, implement, and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads (Docker) in AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to design cloud-native architectures and integrate DevOps practices.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including encryption, IAM policies, key rotation, and access controls to safeguard sensitive data.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost optimization; proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Lead modernization initiatives, leveraging the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure best-in-class cloud solutions.
- Document processes, maintain configuration management, and ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the DevOps and cloud engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure automation, or cloud engineering, with a significant focus on AWS environments.
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing AWS production systems and services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Deep experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development and management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
- Solid hands-on knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Experience implementing security controls and compliance measures in cloud environments
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
