Job Description
- You will seamlessly partner with Clients to derive the engagement goals, define testing roadmaps and success criteria of engagement.
- You will establish yourself as a trusted voice with testing strategies, approaches, methods, artefacts, and tools
- You will balance the strategy & execution while keeping the engagement goals and the clientu2019s success as the prime focus.
- You would act as a change agent on the ground to bring profound changes, leading the way to transformation
- You will champion system testability and performance. You will strive for quality to be built-in and aspire to shift quality to the left.
- You will be leading the tech heavy lifting in Java and JavaScript stack
- You will define and Advocate best engineering practices. Coach & Inspire teams. Define quality-related goals, quality manifesto, processes, and metrics.
- You will identify risks related to people, processes, and delivery. Mitigate them in the most effective way.
- You will understand the clientu2019s strategy inside out, and improve the partnershipu2019s value
Youu2019ll also spend time on the following - Storytelling and socialising the tech and engineering success stories across communities
- Take initiative and participate in others, that move organization forward, aligning with tech and engineering first culture
- Coach team members to become great consultants
The outcomes of this role include:
- The team reports increased confidence in product quality
- Team(s) are adding features with less effort, time, and cost.
- Team reports improved process efficiencies
- The Team has solid test assets and infrastructure for releasing software in the fastest manner possible.
To achieve the above, most of the following experience is a must:
- Ability to understand the architecture, code, and tests at all layers and identify risks, and gaps in coverage
- Knowledge of modern design, architectures, scale, and tooling, such as micro-services, mobile engineering, and container orchestration.
- Experience with Agile & Lean principles and practices, deployment strategies, functional, & non-functional testing, and Solid understanding of best practices such as TDD, BDD, CI, Test Pyramid, and test methodologies
- Ability to assess and measure quality. Drive a plan to improve incrementally. Ability to setup up the best quality processes & practices
- Proficient in Java, and JavaScript stack including but not limited to Build and CI tools.
- At least 5-8 years of hands-on coding and delivery experience
Requirements- Extensive experience in testing & automation at API layer
- Well-versed with Test Pyramid principles
- Hands-on experience with mobile app automation
- Good experience with testing in a microservice architecture
- Strong object-oriented programming fundamentals
- Expertise in GIT
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Exposure of working in an agile workplace
- Extensive experience in testing & automation at API layer
