Job Description
Job Summary:
Healthcare company is seeking an experienced Sr. Systems/Functional Analyst to support and deliver strategic initiatives supporting the Global IT Quality team.
Joining an existing Kanban product team charged with supporting our Records & Document Management eDOCs solution, OpenText eDOCS, in support of the broader Global Quality operations domain.
Teamwork and networking with business partners / cross-functional IT team members is a necessary skill
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Defines and re-engineers business systems or information technology processes by using appropriate methods (such as gap analysis) and tools while partnering with process owners to understand requirements.
- Utilizes information systems to improve efficiency and makes recommendations for implementation of new systems or necessary upgrades that will best meet customer and company requirements.
- Guides implementation of enterprise and system level architectures and systems by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations.
- Works closely with the development team (internal and external) to assure a timely solution according to the specifications and implementation of business needs.
- Resolves system and process related business issues by working with the business owner and project teams to find acceptable solutions.
- Manages process improvement projects by applying advanced project management methodologies including Agile.
- Lead multiple project activities simultaneously, potentially working with internal and external cross-functional groups.
- Partner closely with the Product Owner to define features and acceptance criteria, work with the development team to iteratively groom user stories and build test cases.
- Assures quality of business systems by developing and executing test specifications, and implementing test and quality plans, while working with quality to improve IT processes.
- Creates and refreshes quality training material for user assistance and system usage.
- Document changes being made and relevant teaching manuals.
- Responsible for the creation/maintenance of reports and dashboards and evaluate existing systems for performance.
- Creating/maintaining system interface diagrams, functional designs, and technical specifications and validation deliverables.
- Helps with solution design of business requirements and works with software engineers, test engineers and architects to prioritize business requirements.
- Drives issue resolution during Sprint and validation cycles.
- For established solutions, ensures continued product buildout as well as ensures timely resolution of bugs and issues elevated by the business operations teams.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience with OpenText eDOCS
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years as a developer and/or systems analyst with the ability to manage dynamic/tight timelines and wield diplomacy and influence among various personality types.
- 3+ years being an analyst on an Agile software development team using JIRA: soliciting business requirements, story grooming, writing acceptance criteria, utilizing SDLC, and orchestrating change management.
- Strong foundation in systems and software validation including documentation experience.
- Experience and understanding of technical architecture frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, data pipelines, and integration principles.
- Solid technical writing skills demonstrating the ability to document design options and decisions and present these in an organized manner to technical as well as non-technical audiences.
- Preferred Skills:
- 3+ years working in the Life Sciences or Regulated Industry.
- Familiarity with configuration or systems administration of a Low Code/No Code application.
