Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Translate written and spoken content accurately from English to Vietnamese and vice versa
• Ensure the translated content maintains the original meaning, tone, and style
• Review and proofread translations to ensure high quality and consistency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, legal, technical, and creative departments
• Localize documents, websites, software, and marketing materials for the Vietnamese market
• Manage multiple translation projects and meet tight deadlines
• Use translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ) effectively
• Stay updated with industry terminology and language trends
• Assist in interpreting during meetings, conferences, or calls when required
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
• Provide cultural insight and advice to ensure appropriate messaging for Vietnamese audiences

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, Vietnamese Language, or a related field
• 2 to 7 years of professional experience in Vietnamese translation or localization
• Excellent command of both Vietnamese and English languages, with strong writing and grammar skills
• Proven experience translating a variety of content types, including technical, legal, marketing, or creative materials
• Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar translation software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and culturally appropriate translations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently under deadlines
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams
