- Job Purpose Job Purpose Description Job Context & Major Challenges The Extrusion Plant Is Having Two Extrusion Presses Installed In 1955 And 1965 Respectively. Certain Up Gradations Were Made To The Machinery Over The Years. The Capacity Of The Plant, Which Was 8000 Tons Per Annum In 2002, Has Increased To 12000 TPA During The Current Year. The Competition In The Extrusion Business Is Extremely Severe. Plant Offers Wide Range Of Alloys And Shapes In India. Business Concentrates On Value Added Applications Such As Defence, Bridges, Automobile, Marine And Other Electrical Applications. The Derived Shape Is Critical For Specialisation And Value Addition. The Die Determines Shape Of The Extrusion And Manufacturing Of The Die Is Critical To Meet The Customer Requirement. Aluminium Billets (15000 TPA) For Extrusion Are Manufactures In The Casting Plant Located At Alupuram And Part Procured From Renukoot. Basic Metal Sourcing Is From Renukoot / Hirakud. The Billet Manufacturing Cost And The Extrusion Fabrication Cost Is Much Higher Compare To The Competitors And With The Our Own Extrusion Plant At Renukut. The Major Reason Was The Use Of Cold Metal, Transportation Of Metal From Renukut/Hirakud, High Power Cost, High Employment Cost And Use Of Outdated Technology. Since The Extrusion Market Has Got Installed Capacity Which Is Double Than The Demand, The Price War Makes Our Products Uncompetitive. The Major Challenge Is How To Contain Cost With The So Much Unfavourable Factors In Order Sustain And Become Profitable Major Challenges Include Works accounting of Alupuram Extrusion . Metal inventory management including periodic physical inventory Lead role in disposing old and non-moving metal in different form Implement EVA. Upholding financial discipline. Achieving cost reduction. Implementation of Oracle Financials at Alupuram Integration of Casting Plant and Extrusion Plant which are currently two separate factories under Factories Act. Constant updation of knowledge wrt changes in Group policies, statutes, and accounting standards and modifying the existing practices to conform with the changes. Dismantling and disposal of unused assets in Alupuram Smelter worth Rs. 6 crores IFRS implementation New Project Accounting Cost analysis and taking lead role for cost reduction initiatives and creating awareness Key Result Areas KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters)Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Accounts Activities i) Prepare various Plan & Budget as per assumptions. ii) Place cost control through data monitoring. iii) Effective monitoring of cash and bank activities. iv) Implement agreed audit recommendations. v) Compliance to Corporate requirements. vi) Monitoring receivables and place effective control system. vii) Protect company asset. viii) Compliance statutory requirements. x) Prepare monthly financial statements for the unit KRA10 IFRS /New Projects i) Implementing IFRS. ii) New Project Accounting. KRA2 HRD Activities and Discipline i) Prepare and implement annual skill development training class. ii) Monitor and eliminate the unsafe acts and conditions for zero accidents and incidents in the Department. KRA3 IMS Upkeep i) Create a data bank in IMS so that information is available to all members. ii) Make Accounting Policies available through IMS KRA4 Developmental Activities i) Implement new software integrate with Corporate. ii) Provide training to members. iii) Present/communicate business performance to staff and unions KRA5 Quality i) Deliver meaningful data for taking business decision on time. KRA6 Asset Management i) Ensure all assets are clearly identified and verified as per company policy KRA7 Evaluation of new proposals and capex i) Evaluate all new proposals and capex for its financial viability and report the same to management. KRA8 Audits, controls and approvals i) Coordinate internal and statutory audits in Alupuram ii) Institute necessary controls to pre-empt deviations from policies and statutory requirements. KRA9 Inventory Management i) Maintain stores inventory levels at strictly under P&B targets ii) Liaise with other locations for disposal / transfer of non moving stores items,
