Job Description

A vendor manager oversees and manages relationships with a company's vendors, ensuring smooth operations and strategic alignment. They are responsible for negotiating contracts, monitoring vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with company standards. This includes tasks like establishing performance standards, resolving issues, and optimizing vendor relationships for cost savings and efficiency. 

 

• Vendor Selection and Onboarding: Identifying and vetting new vendors, conducting due diligence, and managing the onboarding process.    Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiating contract terms, ensuring favorable agreements for the company, and managing contract lifecycles   Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Establishing KPIs, tracking vendor performance against those metrics, and conducting regular performance reviews    
• Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with vendors, ensuring business continuity.    Strategic Planning: Contributing to strategic planning related to vendor management, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation    
• Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving any issues or disputes that arise between the company and vendors.        Analytical Skills Business Skills Technical Skills Decision-Making Strategic Thinking Communication
