 About the job   Red Hat IT Platforms is looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will elevate Red Hats data-driven culture and execution by defining and delivering on our Analytics and Master Data Management platform roadmaps. You will work closely with various business value streams, along with your engineering team, to design, build, deploy, and optimize data platform solutions that empower associates and allow Red Hat to be an AI-first organization.  What you will do  

  • Define the roadmap for the platform and dataset.

  • Work with business teams to gather needs and build a strategy that maximizes our impact with data and AI

  • Identify gaps in resourcing or key points of friction in business processes, and make recommendations that address those issues

  • Ensure that the platform elegantly delivers on the capabilities its users require, while implementing the governance and compliance controls necessary for the responsible handling of enterprise business data
  •  What you will bring  

  • Exceptional product management skills and discipline that leads to clarity for the teams doing the work

  • Experience with delivering large systems to internal customers

  • Experience with Data Management / Master Data Management practices and principles

  • Strong opinions and perspectives that you kindly debate, defend, or change to ensure that the entire team moves as one

  • Deep empathy for users of your products, leading to a constant focus on removing friction, increasing adoption, and delivering business results

  • Prunes and prioritizes work in order to maximize your contributions and impact

  • Bias for action and leading by example

  • Experience or knowledge of open source or inner source development and processes

  • Experience with internal enterprise product management and platform transformation projects
