Job Description

As a Demo Developer, you ll be central to our success, building demo automation tools which are designed to reduce the time required to design, build and deliver demos at Celonis. The tools you build will be used by hundreds of internal users and partners. You ll use your skill and expertise to create high-quality applications to provision, populate, configure, customize and automate demos.

You will need to be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. This role is independent of engineering: We take our guidance from value engineers who are creating and delivering demos to customers every day. You will need to be disciplined, self-motivated, and keen to stretch your skills in new directions to solve unique-and sometimes bewildering-challenges

The work you ll do:

Develop a standardized platform for demo automation tooling at Celonis that is extensible, modular, scalable and provides usage analytics.
Partner closely with the Demo Engineering and Value Engineering teams to identify time-consuming demo-related tasks and processes.
Gather requirements and validate those requirements with users in the value engineering, product management, product marketing, sales and services teams.
Build prototypes and conduct user acceptance testing, incorporating feedback and making improvements.
Develop products, manage releases and provide support for demo automation tools.
Demonstrate the tools you have created and train users on how to leverage them effectively.
Provide feedback into product management on enhancements and features that would improve our ability to automate demos.
Anticipate future product releases and build tools to support them, timed to coincide with their release dates.
Leverage the latest technologies to push the boundaries of what Celonis can do.

The qualifications you need:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
3+ years of experience in development with:

Frontend: Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
Server: Java, NodeJS
SQL and Python

A passion for efficiency and the desire to find faster ways to build them, enabling our company to engage more closely with our customers.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams against aggressive deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
