Senior Solution Architect IT Infrastructure @ Techs To Suit

Desired Candidate Profile

Description Candidate should be able to size and price IT infrastructure required based on client requirements. Should be able to independently present the entire solution to clients and evolve consensus to execute. Should be able to implement the solution using own skills supported by team and vendors.

The Senior Solutions Architect will work closely with sales team leading the solution for bids and during bid defence. He will work closely with Delivery teams during implementation.
Technical expertise areas The ideal candidate will possess more than a passing interest and considerable knowledge in most of these technologies. He should be able to create solutions on any & all of them.
Various processor architectures.
Various storage architectures: RAID controllers, SAN, JBOD, Filesystems, RAID types, SSDs, converged adapters
Modern Server platforms and their features including hyper converged infrastructure
Modern tools for managing IT estates; their features and capabilities
Various Operating systems: Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX.
Virtualization and separation technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, .Net, Unix containers, LPARs, CITRIX.
Other Technologies: Compression and deduplication (inline and offline for storage and backups, inline for web pages).
Networking standards: Ethernet, FC, Infiniband, FCOE, iSCSI, RDMA, FR, ATM.
Relational Databases and derived technologies: Clustering, Replication, OLTP vs OLAP, BI.
Internet hosting and challenges: peering, load balancing, cloud platforms, hosted apps.
Network Security covering different Firewalls, IDS, IPS etc and good understanding of Cybersecurity trends.
Cloud Trends : Private/hybrid clouds
QOS and Quota implementation techniques
Backup and DR techniques for databases, applications, infrastructure services
Security and legal standards: PCI DSS, SAS 70, ISO 27001, EU DPA and ways of meeting their requirements
Commercial considerations in the above solutions and technologies

The candidate must possess at least 5 years of hands on experience with any three of the following:
Any enterprise SAN as the lead administrator
Any enterprise LAN / WAN as the lead administrator
Any enterprise LAN / WAN as the lead Security Administrator
Any contact center as ACD Administrator
As a professional instructor in any field
Key Responsibilities Solutioning: Prepare a complete IT solution in response to an RFP. Solution should include technical write-up, diagrams, BOM (wherever applicable) and prices.
Bid Defense: Present and defend own solution prepared against RFP in Bid defense meetings with clients. Evolve IT design in response to client requirements.
Documentation: Review, critique and improve detailed documentation for an IT solution to be implemented prepared by others in the team.
IT Infrastructure Studies: Carry out IT infrastructure studies for clients to : Identify outsourcing opportunities; Identify Opportunities for improving efficiency of IT infrastructure and technical advancement.
Team building: Train, motivate, communicate and engage with team and help the team learn, grow and deliver to their peak capability
