Job Description
We are seeking an experienced OracleSQL Developer with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in databasedevelopment, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the bankingor securities domain . The ideal candidate will possess strong technicalskills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in afast-paced environment.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Design and implement database schemas, including tables, views, indexes, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient database solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and performance of the database systems.
- Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability.
- Support and troubleshoot production issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure minimal impact on business operations.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database solutions and processes.
- Participate in code reviews, best practices, and maintain coding standards.
Required Skills andQualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Oracle SQL development.
- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL , including writing complex queries, stored procedures , packages, and functions.
- Good knowledge of database design .
- Experience in query optimization and resolving performance-related issues.
- Hands-on experience in data migration and working with large datasets.
- Ability to work with version control systems like Git.
- Sound problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Banking or Securities domain is highly preferred.
- Exposure to Oracle Database 12c or higher .
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.
- Knowledge of financial data structures and reporting.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies .
- Basic understanding of Unix/Linux shell scripting .
- Experience working with Oracle APEX (optional but preferred).
