Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services to lead cloud migration and architecture projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing large-scale cloud applications, infrastructure troubleshooting, and implementing modern cloud architectural patterns. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver effective cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on cloud architecture for both infrastructure and applications on Microsoft Azure.
- Define technical direction and develop roadmaps for cloud migrations, managing implementation and technical solutions.
- Apply modern cloud architectural patterns including serverless technologies and container orchestration services.
- Assist internal and external customers with re-architecting and migrating applications to container and microservices platforms.
- Document architectural solutions, configurations, and setups thoroughly.
- Support orchestration of key resources and integration of infrastructure and DevOps technologies (App Service, containers, serverless, cloud-native services, etc.).
- Deliver effective knowledge transfer and upskilling sessions to customers ensuring self-sufficiency.
- Perform deep infrastructure troubleshooting and monitoring, including log analysis to identify root causes.
- Azure Virtual Desktop (VDI) knowledge is a plus.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS products such as Azure SQL, Virtual Machines (VMs), App Services, Logic Apps, Functions, Redis Cache, and serverless technologies.
- Hands-on expertise with networking services like Application Gateways, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Virtual Networks (VNet), Subnets, and Routing.
- Proven experience migrating large-scale on-premises workloads to Azure cloud.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, continuous integration, and deployment (CI/CD), and release management.
- Good working knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Windows and Linux OS customization, fault finding, and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep.
- Strong troubleshooting and monitoring skills for cloud infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (BE/BTech) or equivalent.
- Mandatory certifications: Any two of the following:
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator
- AZ-303 / AZ-304 / AZ-305: Azure Architect certifications
- AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer
- Good to have: MCSA or MCSE certifications.
- 5 to 12 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management and project delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (VDI).
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
