Production Planning and Control Engineer @ Meghalai Steels

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules for sheet metal fabrication, ensuring optimal workflow and minimal downtime.
• Material & Resource Management: Coordinate procurement and inventory of sheet metal materials, ensuring timely availability.
• Process Optimization: Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in cutting, bending, welding, and finishing processes.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to streamline operations.
• Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present production performance reports to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in production planning and control within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Expertise in sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in production planning software, ERP tools, and CAD software.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
