We are seeking a talented individual to join our Data Analytics team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Senior Principal Engineer Data ScienceWe will count on you to:

  • Design and implement data analytics products to solve complex business problems and drive strategic outcomes.

  • Utilize strong conceptual skills to explore Art of the Possible" in analytics, integrating data, market trends, and cutting-edge technologies to inform business strategies.

  • Manage and manipulate large datasets from diverse sources, ensuring data quality through cleaning, consolidation, and transformation into meaningful insights.

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns and trends, reporting key metrics and synthesize disparate datasets for comprehensive insights.

  • Perform rigorous quality assurance (QA) on datasets, ensuring accuracy, logical consistency, and alignment with analytical dashboards.

  • Automate data capture processes from various sources, streamlining data cleaning and insight generation workflows.

  • Apply knowledge of insurance claims, policies terminologies to enhance analytical models and insights.

  • Develop Automation Solution for generating reports using tools such as Python, GenAI and ChatGPT APIs ensuring efficient and optimized code.

  • Communicate complex data-driven solutions clearly and effectively, translating technical findings into actionable business recommendations.

  • Having knowledge around Power BI/LLM/RAG will be preferred
    • What you need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering / Analytics or Masters Degree in Statistics/Computer Applications/ IT/Analytics /any discipline related to Data visualization / Analytics.

  • 1-6 years of progressive experience in Data Science

  • Hands-on exp. in Python (advance knowledge), GenAI, Excel - Intermediate and good understanding of BI tools Power BI

  • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques

  • Strong consulting experience and stakeholder management

  • Basic to intermediate visualization experience in Power BI

  • Excellent with data understanding, transformation and EDA

  • Keenness and urgency to learn about the Marsh and the business units business, and insurance industry in general
