About the Project:
The project is executed in agile model involves manual and automated testing of web applications, deployments on on-prem and cloud environments. Job responsibility involves analyzing and reviewing test cases for test automation, executing automated test scripts, enhancing automation framework with useful features, developing test automation scripts using Javascript and automation tools Playwright and Cucumber.
Job Description:
PrimeSoft is seeking a senior test automation engineer with experience in automation testing using Cucumber framework and Playwright tool with solid understanding of process, test automation concepts, automation tools, and frameworks.
The automation engineer will perform all or most of the following:
Understand the test automation requirements and analyze the test cases for automation
Migrate the existing Playwright tests to a similar framework.
Expand the assertions on the existing tests suiting the pre-defined E2E format.
Write new tests for the on-going features like VMWare, Endpoint management via REST APIs
Design, develop and enhance the test automation scripts. Using appropriate coding and naming standards while developing framework APIs and utilities. Unit testing framework APIs and utilities.
Design and develop automated test scripts using appropriate coding and naming standards.
Review test scripts, document review comments and assist junior engineers to address review comments.
Execute test scripts, analyze failures, report defects and generate test execution reports
Develop test automation related documentation such as framework/script design documents, release notes, readme, help documents, API documentation.
Demonstrate the Sprint deliverables to customer Communicate confidently with customers, manage stakeholder expectations and ability to operate under pressure and meet project deadlines The selected candidate shall be a self-starter and work independently on identified modules and take ownership of designing and developing test cases and test automation scripts.
Mandatory Skills : Proficient in JavaScript Strong knowledge of automation testing using Cucumber framework and at least one automation tool (Preferably Playwright)
Experience with test automation on REST APIs Experience with CI/CD process and GIT Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies
Additional Skills: Knowledge in Linux systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, etc.) Knowledge on Jira, Confluence, Test Rail
