Job Description

As a Software Developer 3, you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracles Cloud Infrastructure. You should be both a rock-solid coder and a distributed systems generalist, able to dive deep into any part of the stack and low-level systems and design broad distributed system interactions. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

Minimum Qualification
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience shipping services software.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java, object oriented fundamentals or experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience designing and driving technical solutions and mentoring engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Working familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with operating and building cloud services would be a big plus.
  • A strong understanding of container and container orchestration technologies like kubernetes.
  • Strong working experience of Linux/unix operating systems.
  • A strong working experience in distributed streaming platform like kafka would be great.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.
