 Commercial Excellence Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Excellence Manager to lead initiatives that optimize commercial strategy, enhance sales performance, and drive cross-functional alignment across the organization. This role will focus on enabling revenue growth through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of tools, processes, and capabilities across marketing, sales, and customer success teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development & Execution
    • Partner with senior commercial leadership to design and implement strategic initiatives that drive growth and market share.
    • Support go-to-market (GTM) strategies and salesforce effectiveness programs.
  • Performance Management
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) across commercial teams.
    • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to ensure transparency and actionable insights.
  • Sales Enablement
    • Implement tools, training, and processes to increase salesforce productivity.
    • Drive CRM optimization and data integrity.
  • Pricing & Commercial Policy
    • Support pricing strategy, discount management, and margin optimization.
    • Ensure compliance with commercial policies across regions and business units.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with marketing, finance, operations, and HR to ensure alignment on commercial initiatives.
    • Facilitate best practice sharing and standardization across teams and geographies.
  • Change Management
    • Lead or support transformation projects, including new systems rollout and organizational redesigns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA or relevant Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial excellence, sales operations, strategy consulting, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) is a strong asset.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in [insert industry: e.g., pharmaceuticals, medtech, industrials].
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies (e.g., Challenger, SPIN Selling, Miller Heiman).
  • Familiarity with incentive design and territory alignment.
