Senior Associate - Product Engineer @ Ignitho

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Develop scalable web applications using MERN stack.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend logic using Node.js and Express.js.
• Build and maintain responsive front-end interfaces with React.js.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins as per client requirements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and data sources.
• Collaborate with product managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Optimize applications for speed and responsiveness across devices.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2-4 years of hands-on development experience in MERN stack.
• Strong experience in building and maintaining WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with MySQL and MongoDB.
• Good understanding of version control systems like Git.
• Experience with deployment and CI/CD tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of security best practices in both Node.js and WordPress.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with custom WordPress plugin development.
• Familiarity with Next.js or other modern JS frameworks.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for WordPress.
• Prior experience in agency or client-facing roles.
