KEY RESPONSBILITIES
Senior Automation Engineer -PDH is a member of the project management Team who is responsible to manage a team of Engineers for overseeing the technical aspect of projects and for coordinating the Automation process from Design to Operation phase. Will report to Project Manager - PDH.
A Senior Automation Engineer in responsible to analyses, designs, and implements & Execute automation solutions to optimize processes, enhance safety, and improve efficiency within a plant. He is responsible for leading automation projects, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software, and providing expert guidance to engineering teams. Their role also includes training, troubleshooting, Preparing Algorithm for System Configuration, SOP and Preventive Maintenance of Control Systems & continuous improvement of existing automation systems. Responsible for Control Systems Spare Parts Inventory Management System.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Automation Engineer:
1. Project Leadership & Execution: Responsible for leading Automation Projects, Developing Project Documentation, Ensuring Timely & Cost-Effective Delivery & Stakeholder Communication
2. Automation System Design & Implementation: Responsible for Analysing Processes, System Design, Integration with Third party Control Systems, Technology Evaluation & Troubleshooting.
3. Team Leadership & Development: Responsible for Mentoring, Training & Collaboration.
4. Continuous Improvement: Responsible for Optimizing Existing Systems and Process Optimization.
5. Safety & Compliance: Responsible for Adhering to Safety Standards and Risk Assessment.
He is involved in designing of System Cabinet, Marshalling Cabinet, IRP Cabinet and Network Cabinet, Power-On Control System, On-Line & Off-Line Downloading Program implementing, HMI Graphics Creation and Modification, Configuration Of Network Switches, Periodic Back-up for Control System, New TAG assignment in Graphics as well as in Logics, Trend Configuration, Shift Production Report generation and improving industrial automated systems and processes within a manufacturing or industrial setting including but not limited to system design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting, Responsible for FAT, IFAT, Third Party Communication with Package unit Control systems, Implementation of Cyber Securities as well as project management and client coordination. Responsible to review petrochemical projects Automation system design and detailed engineering documents provided by FEED or EPC contractors, provide comments, and ensure resolution.
He shall have the personality and drive to manage independently and also direct and guide the team to achieve the Project objectives. In addition, he must be assertive and firm in dealing with FEED Engineer, EPC contractors and other service provides while exercising absolute control on the work. Good Exposure in Automation Engineering phase / Design Phase / Construction phase/ Commissioning phase / Operation Phase. Knowledge of Cause & Effect Diagram, System Architecture, Heat Load Calculation, HAZOP Study, SIL Study.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Good exposure and sound knowledge of Automation domain with respect to PDH / U&O in PDH Reactor system, Hot Combined Feed Exchanger system, Reactor Effluent Compressor Package EM ,Heat Pump Compressor Package ,Heat Pump Compressor Surface Condenser, Separation System (cold box),Hydrogen Purification System, Fuel Gas Preparation System, Hydrogen Booster Compressors Package, Regeneration Tower system, Cooler Blower Fines Removal Blower Lift Gas Blower, Chlorination System ,Depropanizer system, Deethanizer Stripper system, Deethanizer Rectifier, Propylene-Propane Splitter system, Solvent Recovery Column system, Propylene-Propane Splitter Reboilers/Condensers, P&ID ,PFD, HMB, Licence and coordination, PMC Coordination, FEED Contract coordination, EPC / EPCM Coordination, Initial Temporary Site Preparation activities, Coordination with Contractors & Sub-Contractors, in PDH / U&O in Fire water system, Potable water system, cooling water system, Air system, Nitrogen system, Steam generation system, chemical system, Air separation systematic, Boiler, Heater System.
Implementation of SCADA, HMI up-gradation, PLC up-gradation, PLC Robot interfacing programming. Handled development of software for various instruments as per design requirement & application, fault finding, troubleshooting and maintenance. Managed assessment of risk & hazards involved while working with instruments in hazardous area, hydrocarbon service, oxygen service & cryogenic service instruments. Commissioning of Automotive system, Automated bagging/conveyor system, Packaging system, extruder system and Robotics system. Responsible after detailed engineering design and management, development of system configuration, detailed engineering, submittals, approvals and procurement.
