About the Role


The Operations Manager will be a key contributor in the end-to-end implementation of the Foundations programs, ensuring smooth execution across education initiatives, sanitation projects, and community interventions.  

While the Program Team is responsible for implementing and managing various School Excellence Programs, the Operations Team ensures effective on-ground execution by addressing operational challenges related to infrastructure, logistics, and stakeholder engagement particularly with school authorities and government bodies.

The role also involves managing day-to-day operations, leading field teams, ensuring compliance and quality, and actively liaising with various government departments.


Location: Mumbai.


Responsibilities:


  1. Manage day-to-day operations related to various ongoing programs and projects to ensure efficient and quality delivery.
  2. Lead a large team by setting clear goals and providing guidance and support for effective on-ground execution.
  3. Liaise with government authorities/departments for coordination, approvals, and issue resolution for on ground execution.
  4. Monitor program/project performance through field visits, reports, and data reviews, and take corrective actions when needed.
  5. Extensive Travelling on the project field locations.

Required Qualifications and Skills:


  1. Post-Graduate in Social Work (MSW) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing operations within the nonprofit or development sector.
  2. At least 4 years of team handling experience.
  3. Prior experience in government liaisoning is essential.
  4. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is required.
