Job Description
The Business Analyst (BA) is in charge of overall integration projects for customers, from the initial analysis, through all CINTO projects steps to the hypercare. They manage the scope, quality and makes sure the solution is delivered by the required date.

- Technical Requirements
- knowledge of at least one EDI standard: UN/EDIFACT or ANSI-X12,
- basic knowledge of communication protocols used in EDI such as FTP, SFTP, AS2,
- experience in multicultural self-organized teams,
- basic knowledge of XML, XPATH, SQL,
- experience in Transport or Warehousing related EDI transactions/life cycle would be an added advantage.
- communicative and able to think analytically,
- functional working knowledge on TMS / WMS / OMS system would be an added advantage.
- Requirements analysis and specification build
- Assist in a pre-sales phase as needed.
- Gathers customer/business requirements and needs,
- Analysis obtained requirements to design suitable solution.
- Consult non-standard requirement with Developer.
- Create the map specification (using GEFEG.fx)
- Follows standard guidelines and practises.
- Document the work done according to the agreed format/way.
- Coordinates with other IT teams if its required (CW1 trigger setup, ESB/eDC development)
- Development, Quality and Testing
- Manage changes in the scope, re-estimate and re-plan work if needed.
- Support developer in communication with business requestor.
- Carry out Product Tests to make sure the solution works as designed.
- Oversees the UAT process.
- Coordinate the deployment into production.
- Hypercare:
- Help to understand or provide guidance for Hypercare process.
- Support troubleshooting if its requested by EDI Support (Silver Hypercare), take ownership of troubleshooting (Platinum Hypercare)
- General and time
- Track project progress against planned dates
- Maintain timely, efficient and proactive stakeholder communication regarding the daily tasks and projects.
- Priority, escalations
- Follow the priority set by Global BIM
- Escalates encountered issues to Team Lead and CINTO
- Escalates priority conflicts to Team Lead and CINTO

DOs
- Escalate if there is any delays in the implementation
- Begin the project with kick-off meeting according to best practices
- For new setups makes refinement based on the RFW
- Make sure that any solution follows the best practices for EDI integrations, set up EA and the EDI Tech Team.
- Collect business requirements, analyses them and makes sure the UAT tests scenarios addresses the scope in the BRD
- Re-estimate scope if needed
- Build the map specification and hands off to the developer
- Manage changes in the scope
- Maintains ServiceNow according with End to End process and reflecting proper phase for SRQ
- Carries out integration tests
- Makes sure that the solution passed QA
- Oversees UAT tests and help if needed
- Make sure the solution is deployed according to the planned date
- Be compliant with standard development and other standardization guidelines
- Work closely with Developer to deliver the integration on time
- Alerts Team Lead if the scope change affect workload or pipeline commitments
- Alerts Team Lead about priority conflicts
- Escalate to Team Lead communication issues with Business Requestors
- Shares knowledge and experience with others
- Shares ideas for improvement in the development process
DONTs
- Support Integrations after hypercare have ended, this is a EDI support task (DO help direct people to the correct support team)
- Proceed with implementations without having all the necessary requirements
- Proceed with documentation and deployment preparations without a clear UAT sign off from the responsible person
- Agree to solutions that cannot be carried out
- Make any implementation related changes (mapping, LW setups, etc.) without consulting and obtaining approval from the stakeholders
- Underestimate any difficulties or questions that may arise during the implementation
- Leave crucial tasks to be done at the last minute
- Create request or SRQ in Service Now
- Perform UAT tests on behalf of business.
- Modify scope without confirming with business
