Job Description
- Qualifications or Requirements: 1. Degree in Information Technology (IT), or similar. 2. Preferred 1-2 years of experience in and/or knowledge of IT. 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 4. Detail oriented with good organizational skills. 5. Strong analytical, organizational & problem-solving skills. In this dynamic context, Fraser Valley India invites applications for the position of Assistant, IT Services at GGD SD College, Chandigarh, India. This position will commence immediately. Job duties of an Assistant, IT Services includes, but is not limited to: 1. Providing IT support to staff and students. 2. Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the internet and peripheral equipment. 3. Evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications. 4. Providing problem-solving services to network users. 5. Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations. 6. Performing routine network start up and close down and maintain control records. 7. Monitoring all IT deployed hardware, software and networks to make sure they are working properly. 8. Keeping check at the internet and it services provided at the guest houses. 9. Providing IT Support to Student life (student clubs and other events). 10. Providing web designing services including maintenance and upkeep of companys website and other social media pages. 11. Providing examination support. 12. Performing tasks assigned by the Interim Assistant Director, or designate, in the areas of campus services, property and material, janitors and guest house. 13. Any other tasks as assigned by the reporting supervisor. 14. Monitoring protocols to ensure all UFV and FVIE policies are respected and followed. 15. Keeping your supervisor Interim Assistant Director, or designate, apprised of all your activities as per established guidelines.
