Job Description
We are seeking a technically sound and security-focused Network & Security Engineer (L3) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end network security management, project-based deployments, escalated issue resolution, and ensuring strict adherence to internal IT and audit standards.
- Participate in BRD and Functional Design Document reviews.
- Own change requests and incident management, including root cause analysis.
- Identify and mitigate security threats; maintain internal IT systems in line with policies.
- Act as a verifier of configuration/architectural changes by other teams.
- Drive resolution of escalated issues with firm mitigation plans.
- Identify, implement, and optimize network and security processes.
- Ensure closure of audit findings with proper documentation and proof.
- Assist in designing new branch architecture with built-in security best practices.
- Ensure network device configurations align with security standards.
- Provide offsite support for technical implementation, hardware configuration.
- Guide and support L2 engineers in issue escalations.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation: network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
- Work on vulnerability management from OEMs, CERT, SOC, ISD, etc.
- Manage user accounts and access controls via TACACS / RADIUS.
- Implement encrypted password mechanisms and privilege-based access control.
- Configure authentication protocols like PAP, CHAP, AAA.
- Conduct NAT configuration and firewall policy reviews.
- Troubleshoot and fix major network and firewall issues.
- Ensure security against unauthorized terminal access (e.g., console, modem).
- Perform end-to-end route checks and network diagnostics.
- Follow ITIL best practices in incident & problem management.
- Coordinate with OEM vendors for technical support/escalations.
- Ensure 24x7 network availability and support readiness.

- Proactive, Detail-Oriented, and Process-Driven
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNP / CCIE / NSE 4 or 5 / Cisco Security Certifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
Shift & Availability:
- Must be flexible for 24x7 rotational shifts (as per project requirement)
