Job Description

• Establish robust testing frameworks and methodologies specific to data engineering projects
• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for ETL processes, data warehousing, and analytical applications
• Validate data transformation logic, data quality, and integrity across data platforms
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries across Hive / Impala / Oracle environments to validate data accuracy and performance
• Develop automated testing solutions for continuous validation of data pipelines and integration points
• Partner with data engineers and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation and quality metrics for leadership reporting
• Conduct root cause analysis for data quality issues and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams

What were looking for

• Over 4+ years of experience in big data, data warehouse, and ETL testing
• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end data solution development in the financial services sector
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience in Hive, Impala, and Oracle databases
• Experience in using data quality validation frameworks and testing tools for large-scale data environments
• Familiarity with modern data engineering technologies (Spark, Kafka, data lakes, etc.)
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and dimensional data warehouse architectures
• Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies with a track record of successfully implementing iterative development and testing practices
