Procurement Executive for Bangalore Location

youll be our: Purchase Associate- Prototyping & Low volume Sourcing-Mechanical
youll be based at: IBC Knowledge Park, Bengaluru
youll be Aligned with: Supplier Manager- Proto & Low Volume sourcing - Supplier Management
youll be a member of: Operations
What youll do:
- Visit vendors place on a daily basis to follow up with on going works.
- Follow up for delivery dates and status, Update the same on PPR tool
- Quality check of parts which are ready at vendors location and make arrangements to ship it back to the office.
- If quality is not correct, then inform vendors and reject the part or get it reworked.
- Should have a basic understanding of proto process like block machining,3D printing, Fabrication
- Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from available pool of suppliers
- Evaluate vendors quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project
- Update PPRs on Jira
- In charge of daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules
Heres what we are looking for:
- Prior experience in development of built to spec parts, Prototyping, Mfg process, Vendor management preferably automotive parts.
- Good experience on understanding of supplier landscape, value chain mapping & understanding Zero based costing.
- Strong knowledge of different manufacturing processes such as Machining, Vaccum casting, sheet metal, 3d printing, forming, welding etc
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
You bring :
- Diploma in Mechanical Industrial, or Automobile Engineering with 2-3 years of new product development experience.
- Strong engineering design/drawing reading ability.
- Soft skill such as excel,word etc is must.
