Job Description

Position: Mainframe CICS Location: Mumbai/Banaglore Role Responsibilities Design and implement CICS application programs to meet business requirements. Manage mainframe batch and online processing to ensure optimal performance. Monitor CICS transactions and provide troubleshooting support for issues. Conduct system testing and user acceptance testing to validate functionality. Optimize CICS configurations for efficient resource utilization. Analyze system performance and recommend enhancements or upgrades. Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine application requirements. Prepare and maintain technical documentation for CICS applications. Train and mentor junior staff on CICS best practices and standards. Investigate and resolve production incidents in a timely manner. Implement security measures for CICS transactions and data access. Review and debug existing code to improve functionality and performance. Engage in capacity planning and forecasting for mainframe resources. Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges. Ensure adherence to compliance standards and organizational policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience with CICS in a mainframe environment. Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Proficiency in performance tuning and troubleshooting CICS applications. Experience with batch processing and online transaction processing. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of mainframe infrastructure and operations. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus. Valid certification in mainframe technologies is an added advantage. Experience in monitoring tools for system performance is desirable. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to change. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality.
