Job Description
- A Hyderabad based Railway and Roadway contractors company is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Manager to oversee the preparation of engineering scale plans and other relevant drawings for railway siding projects in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate estimates, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards Key Responsibilities: Preparation of Plans and Drawings Create detailed engineering scale plans and drawings for railway siding projects using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D). Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements as per Indian Railway norms . Estimating Costs Develop comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required for railway siding projects. Collaborate with procurement and project teams to confirm cost accuracy and competitiveness. Project Management Manage project timelines, ensuring that all deadlines are met efficiently. Coordinate with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring seamless communication. Quality Assurance:* Conduct regular reviews of engineering plans and estimates, ensuring compliance with best practices and accuracy. Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest level of design integrity. Team Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project outcomes. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred. Proven experience (minimum 10 to 15 years) in railway projects, particularly in preparing engineering plans and cost estimates. Proficient in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar). Extensive knowledge of railway regulations and standards in India. Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven leadership experience in managing teams and projects. Skills: Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
