Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and SSIS to design, develop, and optimize data solutions that support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with data warehousing, advanced analytics, and cloud-based data pipelines, and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive scalable data architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards & reports with advanced DAX, Power Query, and custom visuals.
- Develop and automate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SSIS.
- Architect and manage modern data warehousing solutions (Star/Snowflake Schema) using Azure or On premise SQL Server.
- Implement data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization for large-scale datasets.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance across BI platforms.
- Mentor junior team members on Azure, Power BI, and cloud data best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI, SQL, Data Warehousing, and ETL/ELT.
- Proficient in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration and data integration.
- Advanced SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, partitioning).
- Experience with data warehousing (dimensional modeling, SCD, fact/dimension tables).
- Knowledge of Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity, deployment pipelines, and DAX patterns.
- Knowledge of building and optimize end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).
- Familiarity with Databricks, PySpark, or Python (for advanced analytics) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Certifications (PL-300: Power BI, DP-600: Fabric Analytics Engineer).
- Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD for Fabric/Power BI deployments).
- Domain knowledge in BFSI, Heathcare, Retail, or Manufacturing.
