Job Description
Discussing requirements with the client and other professionals Analysing survey, mapping and materials-testing data with computer modelling software Drawing up blueprints, using computer aided design (cad) packages Judging whether projects are workable by assessing materials, costs and time requirements Assessing the environmental impact and risks connected to projects Preparing bids for tenders, and reporting to clients, public agencies and planning bodies Managing, directing and monitoring progress during each phase of a project Making sure sites meet legal guidelines, and health and safety requirements.
Experience with report preparation. Experience with preventive maintenance program preparation and implementation. Supervisory experience with Safe Work Permitting system, electrical & mechanical lockout and tagging procedures. Experience in plant commissioning and start-up. Ability to read P&IDs and vendor material. To evacuate persons form the accident area To rush in for rescue during emergency call To co-ordinate with the Emergency response team To make sure personnels are working in caution To report higher authorities during uncontrolled situation Should check all areas such as rooms, toilets and store rooms within their designated area. To ensure that all fire exits and routes remain unobstructed To ensure assembly points are visible and unobstructed Any evidence of smoking inside office/worksite is to be reported Should encourage employees to leave the office/work site by the nearest available exit in an orderly manner and direct people to the appropriate assembly point. Report any other problems associated with the evacuation process to the concern authorities
