Job Description: - An opportunity in a leading MNC

Position - Engineer Optics
Location - Mumbai
Work Experience - 3-5 yrs
Notice Period - Immediate candidates preferred

Key Job Responsibilities:

Understanding optics requirements and develop prototype optical systems.
Analyze existing optical systems / assemblies for improving performance, costs and aesthetics and performance.
Conduct research into optical technologies to be employed in current/future products and help identify new application areas.
Identify, understand, and recommend new optical components (cameras, lenses, etc.) and technologies that can be employed with existing company solutions to improve system performance.
Undertake design of new optical assemblies for all range of products.
Develop and test prototype optical setups for target application areas.
Testing, evaluation, and debugging of prototype optical hardware.
Preparing test reports for customized development requirements.
Practical knowledge of using simulation tools like Dialux and Calculux.
Liaising with other departments to ensure all required sub-assemblies for the optical systems are prepared and delivered on time.
Meets with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products.
