R&D electrical engineer for Global @ Vibhuti Insurance

Job Description

As an R&D Electrical Engineer for Hitachi Energy's Global Multi-physic Simulation Team in Vadodara, India, you will play a crucial role in leveraging innovative technologies to transform energy, thereby delivering social, environmental, and economic value to enable a sustainable energy future. You will be a key member of a team that focuses on power transformers, traction transformers, insulation and components, digital sensors, and transformer services. Your responsibilities will include studying the current state of art in 2D and 3D simulation of transformers, analyzing the performance of dry transformers through electromagnetic calculations, developing new automations for product assessment, running feasibility studies, designing new products, and leading product and technology development projects. You will also support in transferring technology and knowledge from R&D to the engineering department, providing technical support to various departments, and upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To excel in this role, you must have an MSc in Electrical Engineering with at least 1 year of experience, preferably a PhD in Electrical Engineering, existing work experience in transformer design, advanced knowledge of transformer design and performance prediction, experience in finite element analysis, proficiency in software such as ANSYS Maxwell, COMSOL, Python, Matlab, C#, or other FEM-based electromagnetic simulation tools, as well as experience in electric testing of transformers. Additionally, you should possess project management skills, an innovative mindset, willingness to travel, and proficiency in both spoken and written English.
