Job Description

Level 2 engineer (L2) Minimum educational qualification: Graduation in engineering or equivalent and Minimum 4 years of experience in the field of network and security OR Graduate or Diploma or equivalent and Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of network and security Should be proficient in network technology and Microsoft OS Should be proficient with proposed solutions Should be proficient with Firewalls, Windows Active directory, Enterprise Anti-Virus Solution, Patch Management Solutions and proposed solutions.
Job descriptions: - 1. User and Group Management
  • Create, modify, disable, and delete user and group accounts.
  • Handle group memberships and access control based on business needs.
  • Troubleshoot login and authentication issues.
2. AD Infrastructure Maintenance
  • Monitor and maintain Domain Controllers (DCs).
  • Perform health checks using tools like dcdiag, repadmin, and Event Viewer.
  • Address replication issues between DCs.
3. Group Policy Management
  • Create, edit, and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
  • Ensure GPOs are applied correctly using tools like gpresult and rsop.
4. OU Structure and Permissions
  • Maintain Organizational Unit (OU) structure based on company policy.
  • Delegate administrative rights via Active Directory Users and Computers (ADUC).
5. DNS and DHCP Troubleshooting (AD Integrated)
  • Resolve issues with DNS zones and records that affect AD functionality.
  • Coordinate with network teams for DHCP scope and configuration issues.
6. Account Lockout and Authentication Issues
  • Investigate and resolve account lockouts using tools like Account Lockout and Management Tools or logs from DCs.
  • Understand Kerberos and NTLM authentication protocols.
7. Scripting and Automation (Basic to Intermediate)
  • Use PowerShell or batch scripting for automation of AD tasks.
  • Modify and troubleshoot scripts related to user provisioning or clean-up.
8. Access Management
  • Manage access to shared folders, applications, and other AD-integrated services.
  • Enforce security policies and review access permissions.
9. Security and Compliance
  • Apply security best practices in AD configurations.
  • Support audits by providing logs, user activity, and permission reports.
10. Incident and Change Management
  • Respond to incidents and service requests within SLAs.
