Job Description
Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Node.js/Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing our backend systems and applications, contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality digital solutions. Your expertise in Node.js and backend technologies will drive the development of scalable, efficient, and robust backend services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performance backend services using Node.js.
- Lead the architectural design of backend systems to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and project managers to integrate frontend with backend services.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection.
- Implement and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support application development.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Engage in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices in backend development.
- Continuously improve our development processes, adopting new technologies and methodologies where beneficial.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and callbacks.
- Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and their declarative query languages.
- Proficient in RESTful API design and development.
- Knowledge of server-side templating languages and CSS preprocessors.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (like Angular, React, or Vue.js) is advantageous.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker containers.
- Understanding of security compliance and data protection.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI to enhance development productivity is preferred.
