Backend & Devops Engineer (node.js / Aws / Ci-cd) @ Eroei Tech

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Backend Engineering

• Design and develop scalable, secure RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB
• Implement reusable service modules and data models, adhering to clean code principles
• Optimize server-side logic for performance, fault-tolerance, and data integrity
• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, notification services, and platform tools
• Collaborate with front-end and mobile teams to ensure seamless data exchange and performance
  

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for staging and production using GitHub Actions / Jenkins
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / DigitalOcean), including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda
• Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (optional)
• Monitor and automate server health, logging, and alerts using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or similar
• Own system security, access controls, and cost optimization initiatives

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-8 years of experience in backend development with solid hands-on DevOps exposure
• Strong problem-solving mindset with experience managing production-grade systems
• Proven ability to automate deployment, testing, and monitoring pipelines
• Comfortable owning infrastructure and server-side logic end-to-end
• Experience working in a product-led or fast-paced startup environment is a big plus

Key Skills:

• Programming Languages: Node.js (must-have), JavaScript, TypeScript (optional)
• Frameworks: Express.js, NestJS (good to have)
• Database: MongoDB, PostgreSQL (optional)
• DevOps Tools: Git, Docker, CI/CD, AWS CLI
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (preferred), GCP, DigitalOcean
• Other: REST APIs, JWT, OAuth, WebSockets, Load balancing, Server security, System scaling
