1. Fabric Manager Fashion Industry
Job Summary:
The Fabric Manager oversees the sourcing, development, testing, and approval of all textiles and fabrics used in production. This role ensures quality, performance, and aesthetics align with design and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and select appropriate fabrics based on design briefs and seasonal trends.
- Liaise with mills and suppliers for fabric developments and sampling.
- Monitor fabric testing for shrinkage, colorfastness, and durability.
- Ensure fabric compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Track inventory levels and manage fabric orders to meet production timelines.
- Coordinate with designers, technical teams, and production on fabric performance.
- Maintain a library of swatches and fabric data for future reference.
Requirements:
- Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in fabric sourcing or textile management.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, finishes, testing protocols, and sustainability.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Production Manager Fashion Industry
Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective production while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and control garment manufacturing processes.
- Supervise production staff and assign duties to meet deadlines.
- Monitor production schedules, material flow, and efficiency.
- Work closely with sourcing, pattern-making, and QA teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Solve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Control production costs and manage vendor relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Fashion Production, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in apparel production management.
- Knowledge of garment construction, factory operations, and lean manufacturing.
- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Fit Technician & Quality Checker Fashion Industry
Job Summary:
The Fit Technician & Quality Checker ensures that garments fit correctly and meet quality standards before bulk production or shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fit sessions and evaluate garment fit, construction, and functionality.
- Measure garments and compare them against technical specs and fit standards.
- Provide clear feedback to pattern makers and manufacturers for corrections.
- Inspect samples and finished products for stitching, labeling, fabric flaws, and compliance with standards.
- Collaborate with design and technical teams for continuous improvement.
- Prepare quality reports and maintain documentation for audit and reference.
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in garment fitting or quality control.
- Strong understanding of garment measurement, construction, and finishing techniques.
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and documentation skills.
