Photon Interactive Private Limited is excited to offer excellent opportunities for QA Automation (Webdriver IO) and to join our team at our office located in DLF, Manapakkam, Chennai.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer with hands-on experience in WebdriverIO to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using WebdriverIO
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Identify, record, and track bugs using tools like JIRA or similar
- Design test plans, test cases, and test data for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Ensure test coverage through automation and help maintain quality standards across releases
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
- Work with tools such as Allure Reports, BrowserStack/Sauce Labs for cross-browser/device testing
- Stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies and continuously improve test automation practices
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in test automation
- Strong knowledge of WebdriverIO (v7/v8 preferred) and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha, Jasmine, or Cucumber
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Git version control
- Strong understanding of testing concepts: functional, regression, smoke, integration testing
- Knowledge of BDD/TDD principles is a plus
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud-based test infrastructure (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr)
- Familiarity with performance or security testing tools
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
