Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer at o9 solutions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and sustaining o9 Digital Brain Platform across Azure, AWS, and Google clouds Your primary responsibility will be to identify improvement opportunities and build automation solutions to bring efficiencies and build resiliency in the deployment, scaling, monitoring, and maintenance of the o9 Digital Brain SaaS platform We seek an ideal candidate with a profound understanding of SaaS applications, multi-cloud architecture, robust problem-solving & programming skills , and a proven history of implementing scalable automation solutions
What you will do in this role:
Cloud Infrastructure Automation:
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain solutions for the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure and o9 Platform, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
- Implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software delivery process, covering the journey from code commit to production deployment
- Collaborate closely with development teams to enhance build and deployment processes for efficiency and reliability
Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Establish and sustain monitoring and alerting systems to guarantee the health and performance of cloud-based applications
- Identify opportunities for performance optimization and apply solutions to improve system efficiency
Security and Compliance:
- Apply security best practices within the cloud environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct routine security audits and implement necessary improvements
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, infrastructure configurations, and deployment procedures
- Provide training and support to junior team members as required
What you'll have
- 5+ years of experience with a Masters Degree in Computer Science Engineering, OR 7+ years of experience with a bachelors degree or a related field
- 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure automation , with expertise in any public cloud platforms, eg, AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience building & operating highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Go , coupled with scripting experience
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong emphasis on Terraform
- Significant experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes )
- Solid grasp of networking principles and adherence to security best practices in cloud environments
- Proactive in staying current with developments in web applications, programming languages, software approaches, and architectures Adapt to these changes through self-training and research work
- Ensure non-functional requirements (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability) are considered during solution design and implementation
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
