Job Description
- As a Lead Engineer in Machine Learning at our company, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of products and platforms that optimize vessel utilization, reduce carbon footprint, and play a key role in shaping the Global Data & Analytics (GDA) strategy. Your passion and leadership will be crucial in driving the company's transformation through data and AI-driven strategies. Reporting to the Director of Data, AI & Platform (GDA), you will serve as the organizational change leader and advocate for insights, data, and machine learning product development that will drive the digital evolution of the division. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and designing cross-functional enterprise business processes, developing products, and collaborating with leaders to implement new workflows. Additionally, you will work closely with business and tech leaders to drive effective change management strategies related to business processes and technology changes. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models, platforms, and software systems to address complex challenges. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and domain experts, to deliver innovative and scalable solutions. Your key responsibilities will include developing end-to-end machine learning solutions, designing and implementing software applications, collaborating with stakeholders, writing clean and efficient code, implementing best practices, optimizing software systems, integrating machine learning models into products, staying updated on industry developments, troubleshooting issues, participating in technical discussions, and mentoring junior team members. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field. You should have at least 12 years of relevant work experience with a specialization in areas such as Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, Data Engineering, or Analytics. Strong experience with global teams and leading large-scale data engineering solutions is required, along with proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Golang, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, and a background in deploying machine learning models in production systems are advantageous.
