Software Engineer-Remote @ Teliolabs

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java or Kotlin, RESTful web services, and cloud-native architecture to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical role in designing and building scalable backend systems while following Agile best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable RESTful web services using Java or Kotlin
  
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns effectively
  
• Work with relational and distributed databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  
• Utilize Git and other version control tools for effective collaboration
  
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain DevOps processes
  
• Deploy and monitor services on AWS infrastructure
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and code reviews
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or related field
  
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development
  
• Strong knowledge of Java or Kotlin and web service development (REST APIs)
  
• Expertise in OOP, design patterns, and software architecture
  
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  
• Good understanding of Git and version control workflows
  
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
  
• Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.)
  
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology
