Job Description

The position of Assistant General Manager at Metals in Maharashtra, India requires a Physical Metallurgist with expertise in recycling. The primary objective is to drive the development of new products and processes for recycled aluminum alloys, focusing on compositions that optimize scrap utilization and enhance sustainability. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with customers to understand specific requirements for recycled aluminum alloys, ensuring they meet mechanical, thermal, and corrosion-resistant standards. - Develop and refine alloy compositions using recycled aluminum, coordinating prototype production and testing to verify properties. - Utilize in-depth knowledge of recycled aluminum alloy properties to optimize formulations, maximizing recycled content without compromising quality. - Stay updated on recycling technologies, processing methods, and industry standards related to sustainable aluminum alloys. - Drive research efforts to address challenges such as impurity control, alloy consistency, and property enhancement. - Evaluate new sources of recycled aluminum and develop strategies for effective incorporation into alloy compositions. - Contribute to technical publications, industry presentations, and knowledge-sharing to promote the use of recycled aluminum in alloy solutions. Additional Responsibilities: - Manage projects by collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring proper resource management, and monitoring financial aspects. - Stay abreast of technological advancements in aluminum recycling through conferences, literature review, and interaction with experts. - Provide training to engineers and operators on operation principles and latest technology. - Generate customer insights, identify pain points, and quantify the value of product/technology features. - Enhance lab capabilities, identify opportunities for collaboration, and contribute to knowledge creation and dissemination. - Document research findings, inventions, and present non-sensitive information in international forums to showcase capabilities. Qualifications: - Doctor Of Philosophy (Phd) or Post Graduate in a relevant field. - Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in metallurgy and recycling. This role reports to the Vice President and requires a proactive individual with a passion for innovation and sustainability in the field of aluminum recycling.,
