Electrical Engineer - Power System Consulting @ US Based Information

Job Description

You are a passionate electrical engineer with a strong academic background and practical knowledge in power system studies. You will provide electrical power system consulting and engineering support services using various software tools like ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, PLSCAD, MATLAB, and others to clients worldwide. Your responsibilities include conducting power system analysis, designing and reviewing electrical systems, troubleshooting site issues, and providing technical support, training, and helpdesk assistance. Your key responsibilities involve leading power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, motor start, transient stability, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonic analysis, and more. You will guide project teams, offer solutions based on study results, design and review electrical systems, troubleshoot incidents, and provide technical support to clients. Additionally, you will resolve technical queries, prepare reports and presentations, and deliver training to customers on software usage. To qualify for this role, you should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related field, possess expertise in electrical power system studies, and have experience with software tools like ETAP, PSCAD, CDEGS, or equivalent. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills are required for this position. It would be advantageous if you have knowledge of Python, MATLAB coding, experience in renewable energy system design, and familiarity with FACT devices and grid-integrated systems.
