Senior Devops & Automation Engineer @ Cloud Kinetics

Job Description

• Experienced in Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git for seamless software delivery.
• Expertise in version source Management tools like GIT
• Experienced in scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, Groovy, and Python to automate diverse tasks across the infrastructure.
• Manage and implement Infrastructure as Code using tools like Ansible ensuring consistent and reproducible environments.
• Develop mechanisms for quick recovery from faulty migrations, understanding fault tolerance principles.
• Identify areas for enabling self-service infrastructure and application management tasks.
• Implement monitoring solutions across all application layers for better visibility.
• Plan sprints effectively within the project team to maintain progress.
• Utilize Bash, Python, and Jenkins for scripting and automating deployment tasks.
• Understand server virtualization, networking, and storage deeply to ensure scalability and high performance with continuous uptime.
• Automate deployment processes within the CI/CD pipeline.
• Work closely with software and production engineering teams on tool development and infrastructure.
• Enhance predictability and reliability of software releases through automation and continuous deployment practices.
• Implement monitoring solutions and alerts to improve application stability.
• Provide support for after-hours release and change control activities.
• Develop and endorse SRE standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue identification and resolution.
• Exceptional communication skills and proven track record of presenting to clients and executive-level leadership.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing within the team.

Skills Required:

• Experience in DevOps and Agile culture
• Hands on experience in Ansible
• Git version control system
• Automated build and integration experience with tools like Jenkins / Github Actions
• Linux Shell scripting, Python
• Windows batch jobs, PowerShell
