PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Econnex is seeking a highly skilled Paid Media Specialist to lead and optimize our multi-million dollar Google Ads campaigns. This role requires a data-driven marketer with expertise in scaling paid media, optimizing for better ROI, and ensuring maximum efficiency in ad spend. You will be responsible for developing, executing, and refining strategies that scale our Google Ads budget from $5M to $12M+ while reducing CPA. ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT
CIMET currently provides end-to-end comparison and signup of Energy, Telco, Credit Cards, Personal loan, and residential solar plans through its online solution in a B2B and B2C environment. It presently caters to various Providers and has several White label partners and other co-branded partners. This portfolio will further expand over the next 18 months across financial services (loans and insurance products). The online comparison market is extremely crowded in Australia, with most comparators providing a light touch directory solution. CIMET saw this as an opportunity and developed a fully integrated online comparison and signup platform.
On 15 March 2022, CIMET decided to partner with iSelect who acquired a 49% stake in CIMET Holdings Going forward, CIMET will use this investment from iSelect to expand into new verticals including Home loans, Car loans, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Pet Insurance among others. Additionally, CIMET has plans to expand into multiple geographies including India. CIMET today has around 130+ resources across Australia and India and will grow to over 200 over the next 2 years.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Campaign Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute high-impact Google Ads campaigns across Search, Display, YouTube, Discovery, and Performance Max.
- Scale campaigns efficiently, ensuring a 3X growth in ad spend while maintaining or reducing CPA.
- Implement dynamic ad targeting, audience segmentation, and AI-driven bid strategies.
- Lead expansion into new paid media channels (Meta Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn, Native Ads, etc.).
2. Optimization & ROI Improvement
- Continuously optimize ad creatives, bidding strategies, and keyword selection to maximize performance.
- Reduce wasted spend by refining negative keywords, audience exclusions, and dayparting strategies.
- Improve Quality Score, Ad Rank, and CTRs to lower CPC and increase conversions.
- A/B test landing pages, ad copy, and creative formats to maximize conversion rates.
3. AI & Automation Implementation
- Leverage Google Ads scripts, API automation, and AI tools for real-time optimizations.
- Implement automated budget pacing tools to dynamically adjust spend based on performance.
- Build and manage real-time dashboards to track campaign performance across all channels.
4. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking
- Use Google Analytics 4, BigQuery, and Data Studio to track full-funnel performance.
- Develop predictive models to forecast CPA trends and optimize budget allocations.
- Set up advanced attribution modeling (Data-Driven Attribution) to analyze multi-touch conversions.
5. Competitive & Market Analysis
- Conduct Auction Insights and Competitor Benchmarking to gain market share.
- Identify new growth opportunities in the paid media landscape.
- Stay up-to-date with Google Ads updates, algorithm changes, and industry trends.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in performance marketing & paid media strategy.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale Google Ads accounts ($5M+ budgets).
- Expertise in Google Ads, Performance Max, YouTube Ads, Display Ads, and Discovery Campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, and BigQuery.
- Experience with automation tools, Google Ads Scripts, and API integrations.
- Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools.
- Deep understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), landing page testing, and audience targeting.
- Experience with AI-driven campaign optimization & predictive analytics is a plus.
