Job Description

What Youll Do

• Design and build scalable APIs in Node.js to power our mobile app.
• Manage data pipelines, storage, and querying with MongoDB (bonus for Elasticsearch experience).
• Optimize backend architecture for speed and resilience.
• Implement robust security practices, user auth (e.g. JWT), and privacy-first design.
• Collaborate closely with frontend/mobile teams to ship new features quickly.
• Own backend deployments and monitor system health.

What Makes You a Fit

• 312 years backend development experience, ideally with strong Node.js fundamentals.
• Confident designing RESTful APIs and handling complex data workflows.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (indexing, aggregation, performance tuning).
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, startup environments where you wear multiple hats.
• Passionate about building secure, privacy-respecting systems.
