- Role Overview UI Developer
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Software Engineer - Frontend to join our team and help build modern, responsive and intuitive web applications. Reporting to the Lead Software Engineer Frontend, you will work closely with designers, product managers and business stakeholders to deliver user-friendly features that align with Chubbs UI standards and business goals. This role requires strong technical skills, a good eye for design and the ability to work independently or as a part of a collaborative team.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable and maintainable front-end code using modern frameworks like Angular or React.
- Translate product requirements and user needs into well-structured, responsive UI components.
- Work within established design systems and when needed independently create mock-ups or wireframes for new / existing components.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and services.
- Participate in regular code reviews, team discussions and knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Debug, troubleshoot and optimize front-end performance and user experience.
- Assist with integrating AI features into the UI in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Support front end CI / CD workflows and help ensure smooth deployments.
- Stay updated with front-end trends, tools and best practices.
- Manage project stakeholder expectations and issue communications on progress.
- React to shifting priorities without compromising deadlines and momentum
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development with strong hands-on expertise in Angular16+, JavaScript/TypeScript and related frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, responsive design and accessibility standards.
- Experience with UI design systems and creating mockups or wireframes as needed.
- Understanding of front-end architecture patterns and state management.
- Familiarity with testing tools, performance optimization and debugging.
- Exposure to AI technologies or integrating AI-powered features is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and web app deployment workflows and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
