Job Description
- The position involves leading and managing the QA team, which includes internal QAs in various locations, resources from vendor partners, and external QA partners. It is essential to ensure that all QA activities are in line with company goals and standards while providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Additionally, you will be responsible for exploring testing tools and technologies and recommending the most suitable ones. Developing, implementing, and maintaining QA strategies, policies, and procedures is a crucial aspect of the role. Continuously enhancing QA processes and methodologies, defining and monitoring QA metrics, and overseeing the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans and cases are key responsibilities. You will be required to coordinate testing efforts with development and product teams, ensuring thorough testing of software applications across various types, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing. In terms of automation testing, you will be tasked with enhancing and expanding the company's automation testing framework, selecting appropriate automation tools and technologies, and providing guidance and training to team members. Maintaining high-quality automation to support a true CI/CD release strategy is vital. Acting as the primary liaison between the internal team and Infosys QA resources, fostering effective communication and collaboration among QA, development, and product teams, and participating in regular meetings to update on QA activities are essential components of the role. Additionally, you will oversee issue identification, reporting, and resolution, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of problems and their solutions, as well as conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for critical issues. Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in quality assurance, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team, and evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to enhance QA capabilities are integral to the role. The qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, a proactive and committed attitude, a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, Cucumber, or similar, familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, experience with true CI/CD release approach, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, and certifications in QA or related areas (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) as a plus. Experience in eCommerce/Webshops is a preferred qualification for this role.,
