WLAN Testing Engineer - 3-10 yrs - Bangalore/Hyderabad @ Capgemini

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Perform functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing of WLAN features.
Validate 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) for different wireless devices (routers, APs, IoT).
Test Wi-Fi features like roaming, throughput, coexistence, MIMO, MU-MIMO, channel bonding, etc.
Write and execute test cases and document test results in detail.
Debug issues using tools like Wireshark, protocol analyzers, and logs.
Work closely with development and other QA teams to reproduce, analyze, and root-cause issues.
Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages.

Required Skills:
Strong understanding of WLAN/802.11 protocols.
Experience in wireless device testing (Access Points, Clients, Routers).
Hands-on experience with test tools like IxChariot, Wireshark, OmniPeek, iPerf.
Familiarity with RF concepts, signal strength, channel interference, etc.
Good scripting knowledge in Python or similar languages.
Exposure to test automation frameworks.
Experience with Linux environment is a plus.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
